MetaMovements Artist Collective is dedicated to fostering community through cultural exchange, dance, and music programs in Cuba, the Dominican Republic and U.S.A. Our offerings have included immersive travel experiences, workshops, performances, virtual dance programs, community events, cultural exchanges, artist residencies and more. By bringing together creators, performers, and enthusiasts, MetaMovements encourages collaboration across disciplines, inspiring new forms of creativity and connection. With a focus on inclusivity and the power of movement as a universal language, MetaMovements is redefining how we engage with ourselves, one another, and the world around us.

Let’s remember that for many of us, it's not just about learning dance—it's about joining a vibrant, global community that fosters sharing, learning and resilience.

Here’s just a glimpse of some things MetaMovements accomplished in 2024 with your support:

Debut of 5 new collaborative choreographies created by artists from Cuba, the DR, and the U.S., performed in all three countries as a fun challenge!

Hosted 25+ free outdoor dance events throughout Greater Boston.

Partnered with 7 local schools to engage students in Latin music and dance.

Hosted 50+ international travelers to connect to the roots of the music and dances they love in Cuba and the DR, while supporting local artists.

Launched new pilot virtual dance and Spanish immersion programs that provides sought-after services for dance-lovers in the U.S.

Provided Emergency Support for artists in the DR and Cuba during crises (hurricanes, floods, health emergencies, etc).

Provided mentorship and professional development for young artists in economically challenged communities.

Provided financial aid to dancers experiencing economic difficulties to participate in workshops and dance training with MetaMovements.

...keep Salsa In The Park and other free health programs accessible that provide an outlet for stress relief, physical activity, emotional healing, personal growth and community building through Latin Dance.

...host workshops and cultural exchanges with international artists that honor the roots, histories and legacies of music & dance forms from Cuba, DR and US.
...​support our ERP Fund (emergency response & prevention) providing direct emergency relief to artists facing crises in the DR and Cuba and supporting efforts to prevent future hardships.
